Song Competition Town Hall 2.0
One week ago, twelve active members and officers congregated at a public web conference hosted by the CFES to discuss the Song Competition. This hotly debated contest was spearheaded by the National Council of Deans of Engineering and Applied Science (NCDEAS) and Engineers Canada just 4 months ago. Read more

Engineering Students Win Provincial Policy Essay Competition
The Ontario Centre for Engineering and Public Policy (OCEPP) announces co-winners of the 2009 Student Essay Competition. A PhD student from McMaster University and an undergraduate student from the University of Guelph are both awarded the $1000 grand prize. Read more
CEQB Meeting Wrap-up
As National Capital Liaison I recently had the chance to attend the 74th meeting of the Canadian Engineering Qualification Board (CEQB) in Ottawa. The role of the CEQB is to form nationwide guidelines on professional (as opposed to academic) engineering qualifications, ethics and conduct with the aim to streamline the various provincial and territorial practices.
